Cache Valley Hunter Education Center

Recently I saw on Yelp that this place is listed as being closed down. It is not. What happened is the back stop for the shooting range failed, so they temporarily shut the center down while they fixed the back stop. It is fixed now and the place is open again. It is a wonderful place to go shoot rifles, pistols, shotguns, air guns, or bow and arrows. The volunteers are wonderful. They are friendly yet strict when it comes to safety. That is a very good thing. If nothing else, they have several taxidermied animals in the main building to go look at.

I've shot here for years. The facility is run primarily by volunteers which has helped keep their prices consistently low. On the shotgun side they have trap, skeet, sporting clays fields and riverside skeet. They host a youth shooting group as well as a fun league for shooters looking for a little friendly competition. They have 25, 100, and 300 yard rifle ranges as well as various setups for pistol shooting competitions. They also have indoor archery and .22 ranges. Whether you're a seasoned shooter or a beginner there's always a volunteer available to guide you through range rules to ensure everyone has a safe enjoyable time.

Wonderful, friendly, helpful folks. Very kind, offered Hubby some of their coffee when they found he works swings and had little sleep before Hunter Safety class he was up early to attend. Noticed they have an armed women's training class so I'll be back. Very close to Logan so lots of amenities within 5 minutes of the range.
