Purchased an AR for a reasonable price, it would not fire at the range despite having done everything correctly. They would not return or refund the rifle. 1,000 dollars wasted.

Not sure if the guy running the gun range counter this morning was on one or what. But he was definitely struggling trying to get us in. He got my brother in laws number wrong and couldn’t find his waiver, then I rented a .22LR TX22, I filled a 16 round clip and it jammed literally 10-12 times. So I let the guy at the counter know and all he did was take it back from me and said he’ll clean it tonight. There wasn’t any form of a refund, or even trying out another gun. Between the rental and ammo for it, I spent $30 for 10 mins of cleaning out jams. Then what really got me, I walked out of the range, made sure I pulled the door tight behind me before I walked through the 2nd door back into the gun shop and he runs over and starts chewing me out saying I need to make sure that the first door is closed before I come through the second door. He made a much bigger deal about it than it needed to be so I let him know I know I pulled that second door shut before coming in. I was with my mom and she knew I pulled that door shut too. Then he goes on to explain he sits there all day and that he can’t tell the difference because after a while it’s all muffled? Like what’s this guys problem? Definitely has some kind of power trip. I’ll use other ranges from now on. Was looking to buy a 22LR pistol today but after my experience I’ll find another gun shop to support.
